Our Story
North County San Diego wasn't made for leashes and parking lots. It was made for trails, bluffs, and the kind of open air that makes a dog's tail go absolutely wild.
We load up the Land Cruiser and take your dog somewhere they'll actually remember — the trails of Elfin Forest, the bluffs of Torrey Pines, or the open fire roads of Penasquitos Canyon. Real adventures, not just walks around the block.
Every dog in our care is treated like family, every outing is documented, and every trip ends with one very happy, very tired pup.
What We Offer
Your dog travels safely in the back of the Land Cruiser to North County's best trails, canyons, and open spaces. Real destinations, real terrain, real adventure — not just a stroll around the block.
Each outing is up to 3 hours — including transport to the trailhead, the full adventure, and the ride home. Special adventures to destinations like Julian and Mt. Laguna are available upon request.
Some dogs need more than a walk — they need to move. Built from years of running alongside rescue German Shepherds and raising three of my own, this program is designed for high-energy dogs who are ready for a real challenge.
Intro to Trail Running is a progressive walk-run program that builds your dog's stamina the same way a training plan builds yours — gradually, intentionally, and with their long-term health in mind. We start with 1 mile of mixed walking and running on North County trails in the early morning hours before the heat sets in, then increase mileage over time to 3–5+ miles depending on your dog's breed, fitness level, and drive.
Each session builds on the last. By the end, your dog won't just be tired — they'll be healthier, more focused, and genuinely fulfilled in a way that a neighborhood walk simply can't deliver.
Ideal for working breeds, high-drive dogs, and any pup whose energy outlasts the day.
Where We Roam
During summer months, all outings are scheduled early morning — before the heat rises and before the trails fill up. Your dog gets the best of North County at its most peaceful.
Miles of shaded trails through chaparral and oak woodland. One of North County's hidden gems — great for both adventure walks and trail running intros.
A wide, flat canyon trail with a waterfall at the far end. Perfect for introducing dogs to longer distances without harsh elevation.
Coastal bluffs, ocean views, and trails that smell like adventure. Best at sunrise before the crowds hit. A North County classic.
Flat, scenic trails through one of Southern California's largest coastal wetlands. Great for dogs of all fitness levels and a beautiful backdrop for every outing.
One of North County's best-kept secrets — a stunning reservoir loop with the iconic suspension bridge, wide open trails, and beautiful lake views. Great terrain for both adventure walks and trail running.
